Professor Àkos Kengyel delivered a two part review of the EU budget process under the framework of MIREES Masters at the Faculty of Political Science “Roberto Ruffilli” in Forlì. Dividing the complex process into two lectures, Prof. Kengyel gave the students an overview of the budgets history, before analyzing the current areas of EU budget expenditure. This was an opportunity for us all to gain some perspective on a process that has been particularly relevant to Eastern European development and integration since the 1990s.

European Regional Master's Degree in
Democracy and Human Rights in South East Europe

Visit of the students of the ERMA Program to Srebrenica

The students of the 10th generation of the ERMA program had a field trip to Srebrenica on the 14th of April 2011. During the trip, they had the opportunity to visit the Potocari memorial center, the cemetery to the victims of the 1995 killings and the nearby factory where an exhibition of photos and personal objects of the victims has been put in place. The students also had the opportunity to meet the President of the Mothers of Srebrenica Association and to discuss with her some of the issues linked to the discovery of mass graves and the identification of missing persons.

PECOB's call for papers

The Scientific Board of PECOB announces an open call for papers to be published with ISSN 2038-632X

Interested contributors may deal with any topic focusing on the political, economic, historical, social or cultural aspects of a specific country or region covered by PECOB.

Potential contributors must submit a short abstract (200-300 words) and the full text, which can be in English as well as any language from the countries covered by PECOB.

Upcoming deadlines for submitting proposals are:

January 31st, 2011
June 30th, 2011
November 30th, 2011

All texts must comply with PECOB Submission Guidelines (www.pecob.eu).
